This is the home page for the volunteer organization that built and maintains the 165-mile Ozark Highlands Trail in northwest Arkansas. All of our outings, meetings and work trips are open to the public and there is never any charge. You can keep up with all of these activities by reading the online newsletter. There is some general information about the Ozark Highlands Trail, along with an overall map, and also a link to the online store where you can purchase guidebooks, maps, and other outdoor publications. There is also information about hike ratings and hiker responsibilities, plus a links page for other outdoor clubs and web sites of interest.
ICE DAMAGE UPDATE: The entire main section of the OHT is open for hiking from Lake Ft. Smith State Park to Woolum (you may still encounter some downed trees and limbs).
The Sylamore Section of the OHT remains closed and the forest service will not allow any volunteers to work on it.
