LAKE FORT SMITH STATE PARK IS STILL CLOSED (which includes the first six miles of the Ozark Highlands Trail).There is NO DATE GIVEN for when the park and new section of the OHT may open. The U.S. Forest Service is OUT OF CONTROL and continues to spend MILLIONS of your tax dollars to burn hundreds of thousands of acres of Arkansas lands this year. They do nothing to protect our hiking trails, which are burned up in the process. The forest service has been ignorning public input and has no plans to stop anytime soon. Lord help us all...
